UAE helps Afghanistan by Repairing the airport, sending aid and hosting refugees

The Director of Kabul Airport Mawlawi Abdul Hadi Hamdan confirmed that there are technical problems that we face in operating the airport. The team managed to repair a lot of the airport's systems and we hope to fully resume international flights soon.


The Emirates Red Crescent Authority in Afghanistan has implemented programs and projects worth more than 320 million dirhams, of which the number of beneficiaries exceeded 8 million people.


These aid included, in detail, development projects, seasonal programs and cut-off aid, which amounted to more than 242 million dirhams, benefiting more than 5 million people, while the value of relief aid exceeded 71 million dirhams, benefiting more than 3 million people, in addition to about 7 million dirhams. On the value of the orphan sponsorship and family support programs that benefited more than 40,000 orphans.
