 His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, inaugurated the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Solo, accompanied by the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. It will be attached to the niche of the mosque.

His Majesty President of the State Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan opened the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Solo along with Indonesian President Joko, and His Highness gave a performance upon their entry.

The mosque is a similar copy of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi with the addition of some traditional Indonesian designs and decorations and the use of local materials. The mosque accommodates 10,000 worshipers and contains 56 domes and four minarets, along with 32 columns in the main prayer area.

In his speech on this occasion, the Indonesian President expressed his deep thanks and appreciation for the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his initiative to establish this mosque, which is an exceptional edifice in this city, with its connotations that express the depth of the relations that unite the two countries and the common messages that they carry.
