 Abullah bin Zayed, Australian Foreign Minister attend CEPA signing

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Penny Wong, Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs, today attended the signing of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Australia.

The agreement marks a new chapter in bilateral relations aimed at increasing trade, promoting private-sector collaboration, and facilitating investment flows.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and Don Farrell, Minister of Trade and Tourism of Australia.

This historic agreement is the first of its kind that Australia has concluded with a country in the Middle East and North Africa region, and constitutes an important addition to the program of comprehensive economic partnership agreements, which the UAE has continued to implement since its announcement in September 2021.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressed that the comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the UAE and Australia is an embodiment of the prosperous and developed relations between the two friendly countries, 

and also comes from the UAE’s approach to building bridges of cooperation and development partnerships with friendly countries. And sisterly, with the aim of achieving comprehensive development, sustainable economic prosperity, and enhancing the prosperity of peoples.
