UAE Balloon Team Soars Over Russia
The UAE Balloon Team is participating in the third edition of the Russian International Brotherhood Balloon Festival, which kicked off in the city of Nizhny Novgorod and will continue until July 1st. The event features wide international participation, including teams from Bulgaria, Slovakia, Belarus, Armenia, and several Russian teams.
Captain Pilot Abdulaziz Nasser Al Mansouri, President of the UAE Balloon Team, told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the team's participation goes beyond the sporting aspect, aiming to promote Emirati culture and highlight the strong ties between the two friendly nations. He noted that the team performed free-flight shows attended by Russian officials and media outlets.
Al Mansouri praised the attention the participation received from Russian leadership and commended the strong public engagement with the team’s performances, particularly the night shows held throughout the festival.
He added that this participation in Russia is part of the team’s second international tour, which began in Bristol, UK, with the goal of sharing the rich Arab and Islamic culture with people around the world.
