 DEWA and Microsoft UAE Explore Strategic Collaboration in Digital Transformation and Innovation


Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Microsoft UAE have taken another step toward shaping Dubai’s digital future. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, welcomed Amr Kamel, General Manager of Microsoft UAE, to the Authority’s headquarters to discuss joint opportunities in accelerating digital transformation, fostering innovation, and supporting Dubai’s sustainable development goals.


The discussion highlighted how DEWA’s pioneering initiatives in smart infrastructure, renewable energy, and customer services can be further enhanced through Microsoft’s global expertise in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cybersecurity.


Al Tayer reaffirmed DEWA’s commitment to innovation, guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aiming to position DEWA as the first utility in the world powered entirely by AI across its core operations. Microsoft UAE emphasized its dedication to empowering national institutions, underscoring DEWA’s role as a model of sustainability and innovation in the region.


This collaboration reflects the UAE’s ongoing mission to embrace the Fourth Industrial Revolution and set global benchmarks for smart, secure, and sustainable services.
