 Sharjah Consultative Council Explores Academic Partnerships with Indian Delegation


The Sharjah Consultative Council, led by H.E. Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Researchers Center, welcomed an Indian delegation including H.E. Preneet Kaur, former Minister of State for External Affairs and former Member of Parliament for Patiala, and H.E. Manisha Gulati, former Chairperson of the Punjab Women’s Commission.


The discussions centered on strengthening academic and research partnerships, fostering international dialogue, and advancing cultural and intellectual exchange between the UAE and India.


Dr. Al Nuaimi emphasized that such collaborations reflect the UAE’s commitment to building robust international relations rooted in mutual respect, knowledge-sharing, and innovation. He highlighted the pivotal role of both the Council and the Center in driving scientific and intellectual dialogue that supports sustainable development and enhances the UAE’s global presence as a hub for cooperation.


H.E. Preneet Kaur praised the Emirates Researchers Center for its unique initiatives in empowering researchers and promoting academic excellence. She described the Center as a pioneering model for international academic integration, noting that UAE-India initiatives in education, innovation, and research will play a vital role in shaping a more stable and prosperous future for both nations.


The meeting concluded with a presentation of the Center’s key strategic projects, including plans to advance scientific publishing, expand research in artificial intelligence, and establish more regional and global academic partnerships.


This collaboration underlines the UAE’s strategic vision of building a cohesive society that is open to the world through knowledge and innovation.
