America is moving to confront Turkey's provocations in the eastern Mediterranean

A report published by the French website "La Nouval Tribune" said that the United States began to push for obligating Turkey to open dialogue with Cyprus and Greece and curb its hostilities in the eastern Mediterranean region.  The report said that "a month ago, Turkey played the truce card in the eastern Mediterranean by withdrawing its ship to explore for gas from Greek waters in Kastelorizo, which is in dispute with Greece and Cyprus."

He added, "This only lasted 4 weeks, as Turkey resumed gas exploration operations in the eastern Mediterranean, which angered Athens again."

The report indicated that the United States has already announced that there will be no dialogue with Turkey while his ship is in the eastern Mediterranean, as Ankara plans to conduct gas exploration until October 22.  He added that the United States "has a dim view of the Turkish ship’s return to the region, and today it is calling on Ankara to stop its deliberate provocations, according to what was stated by a spokeswoman for the US State Department, who said clearly: We demand Turkey to stop this deliberate provocation and immediately start initial talks." With Greece. "

The United Morgan Ortagus added, "Threats, intimidation, coercion and military maneuvers will not resolve tensions in the eastern Mediterranean. Therefore, the United States does not agree to return the Turkish ship to the waters that were discussed with Greece and Cyprus."  According to the report, Washington considered that this "intentionally complicates the resumption of the basic talks between Greece and Turkey.
