Qatar has not apologized to the Australian women and Australia may take legal action

Australian female passengers who were subjected to physical abuse at Doha Airport last month are studying legal action against Qatar; Especially in light of the continued neglect of their rights.

group of the female passengers told the Australian newspaper "The Guardian", who requested anonymity, that they would request individual written apologies, and were still studying the possibility of taking legal action.

The passengers are also seeking to obtain a commitment from the Qatari authorities that the safety of passengers passing through Doha airport will be a priority before any other concerns in the future.

The passengers who were taken off a Qatar Airways plane and subjected to a forced search and humiliating medical examination after being stripped of their clothes, sparking international outrage last month, said they received no individual apologies and were not directly contacted by the airline.

In statements to the newspaper, the passengers of the flight, which left Doha for Sydney on October 2, confirmed that there had been no direct contact with them either from Qatar Airways or the Qatari government during the six weeks that had elapsed since the accident.

The newspaper pointed out that the neglect continues, despite the submission of some of the passengers formal complaints to the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Australian Federal Police within 24 hours of their arrival.

The women reported that the Australian Federal Police called them for interviews this month, according to the same newspaper that quoted the comments on their lips.

The Federal Police had contacted the passengers while they were in quarantine and said that it was committed to pursuing an investigation into their treatment.
