France discusses with Russia the ambiguity about the armistice in Karabakh

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said that French and American diplomats will hold talks with Russia, on Wednesday, in Moscow to clarify the ambiguities related to the ceasefire between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to the agency "Reuters" news agency, Le Drian said to members of parliament today, Tuesday: "Tomorrow we will have a meeting in Moscow with the envoys concerned with the file to reveal the ambiguity surrounding the cease-fire."

He explained that the ambiguity relates to the refugee issue, the demarcation of the ceasefire borders, the presence of Turkey, the return of fighters, and the start of negotiations on the status of the region.

On Monday, Russia said that Turkey's decision to send military forces to support Azerbaijan in its war against Armenia is an internal affair for it.

According to the Russian "Sputnik" agency, the spokesman for the Russian presidency, Dmitry Peskov, confirmed to reporters, "The fact is that there will also be a monitoring center on the territory of Azerbaijan, and Turkish soldiers must be sent there."

He added, "This is an implementation of the internal procedures, and the procedures stipulated, because the internal legislation of the Republic of Turkey, this is an internal matter for Turkey."

Yesterday, Monday, the Turkish presidency submitted a mandate to Parliament demanding permission to send military forces to Azerbaijan, days after Baku and Yerevan, which are in conflict over the Nagorno Karabakh region, signed a final ceasefire agreement sponsored by Russia, on November 10.
