The highly awaited passenger trains for Etihad Rail will be designed, produced, supplied, and maintained under a Dh1.2 billion arrangement. In the Sakamkam neighbourhood, where the first passenger train station will be constructed in the centre of Fujairah city, Etihad Rail and Spain's CAF firm signed their deal.

Etihad Rail has signed a Dh1.2 billion agreement to design, manufacture, supply, and maintain the much-anticipated passenger trains. The agreement was signed in the Sakamkam area, where the first passenger train station in Fujairah city will be built, by Etihad Rail and Spain's CAF company.

The trains will make it easier to move people between the UAE's cities, giving them a rapid, effective, safe, comfortable, and affordable travel experience. From Al Sila to Fujairah, the passenger train will link 11 UAE towns and areas, including Al Ruwais, Al Mirfa, Dubai, Sharjah, Al Dhaid, and Abu Dhabi. Passenger services will make it possible for travellers to more efficiently organise their trips between the Emirates and the cities of the UAE, from purchasing tickets to arriving at their destination.

The contract was signed in front of Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the head of Etihad Rail and the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court. The "company's commitment to finishing the national and strategic project on schedule," he claimed, is supported by this.
