The leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Jordan’s King Abdullah II, along with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, arrived in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday for a historic meeting.
The summit was hosted by UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi. Also in attendance were Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq, Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
The leaders discussed a range of issues related to regional security and stability, as well as economic cooperation. They also discussed ways to strengthen ties between their countries and promote peace and prosperity in the region.
The summit is seen as a major step forward for the GCC countries in their efforts to build closer ties with their Arab neighbors. It is also seen as an important step towards achieving greater unity among Arab nations.
