The UAE will see temperatures soaring as mercury is set to hit nearly 50°C this week, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.Along with peak temperatures hitting the nation, the NCM has also forecasted that more fog will roll in.NCM has already issued an alert over low visibility, which will take place until 9AM, in parts of the country due to the morning fog.
In its latest five-day bulletin, the NCM noted that it would range from around the mid to late 40s in Abu Dhabi and Dubai for the week.Temperatures will peak at 48°C in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.Al Ain is expected to reach 47°C on Wednesday, and will reach beyond 40°C in both Abu Dhabi and DubaiThe NCM also said that humidity could rise, hitting 100 percent in Sweihan, Al Ain, on Wednesday.
These conditions occur due to warmer seas, increasing evaporation, whereas hot land temperatures means the air absorbs more water.Abu Dhabi humidity levels could reach 95 percent on Saturday, but are expected to be low in Dubai.On Thursday, Abu Dhabi is expected to reach a high temperature of 44°C, while Dubai will see a high of 43°C.There will be fog, mist, and light to moderate winds blowing dust at a speed of 40kph during the day.
