Florence Pugh Puts a Daring, Shimmery Twist on the Corseted Gown at the 2024 BAFTA Awards

he stars were out Sunday night in London for the 2024 EE BAFTA Film Awards, and among them was Florence Pugh, who served up an evening of bombshell looks.

Pugh once again captivated the red carpet. While she’s become known for her glorious sheer ensembles, this time the Dune: Part Two actor stunned Royal Festival Hall in a daring take on the corseted gown.

She showed out in a jaw-dropping custom Harris Reed creation. The black velvet dress featured a high-low skirt (which grazed the floor in the front and stopped right before her knees in the back), a super-low plunging neckline with small black cups, and the star of the show: a sparkling silver corset. The corset,

which featured a low, swooping bodice and cross-stitching up the back, glistened as it caught the light from every direction. To add to the grandeur, Pugh wore a matching black velvet boa around her arms that trailed behind her as she walked,

a shimmery diamond necklace that extended down her chest like an icicle, and matching stud earrings. (The jewelry was from Boucheron.) For beauty, she glammed up with a dark smoky eye and glossy light-pink lips, and slicked her short hair back with a voluminous side part.

Once the awards had all been given out and the after-parties had commenced, Pugh got ready for a night of fun, changing into a playful outfit that was oh so posh. She wore an asymmetrically cut, icy-white minidress that featured panels of sheer floral lace going diagonally across her torso and legs, a daringly low-cut neckline, and barely-there spaghetti straps. To add to the glamour,

she donned a wispy creamy-white feather boa, an array of statement rings, and layers of crystal drop earrings. For a rock-star touch, she added thin-framed square sunglasses with purple-tinted lenses.
