Fog engulfs some coastal areas of UAE for hours
Fog blanketed some coastal and inland areas of the UAEUAE on Friday morning, and continued for 8 and a half hours, starting at 12:00 midnight, and continuing until 8:30 am, due to the country being affected by weak surface pressure systems, accompanied by an air extension in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
Fog started to form on Saih Shuaib Road, Saih Al Sudaira Road, Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road, Al Faya and Al Wathba Road in Abu Dhabi, on Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road from Expo towards Abu Dhabi, Emirates Road from Al Maktoum International Airport towards Abu DhabiAbu Dhabi, on Jebel Ali in Dubai and on Sharjah International Airport.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expected Saturday’s weather to be generally clear and humid at night and on Sunday morning, with the possibility of light fog formation over some coastal areas, and winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, sometimes active at night on the sea.
NCM also stated that the sea would be light to moderate, sometimes turbulent on Sunday morning in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
Sunday's weather will be generally clear and dusty at times, with a drop in temperatures and humid at night and on Monday morning, with the possibility of fog, or light fog formation over some coastal and inland areas, especially to the north and east, with southwesterly to northerly light to moderate westerly and sometimes active stirring dust winds. NCM that added that the sea would be turbulent to moderate in the Arabian GulfArabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
