 The UAE and Malaysia strengthen cooperationin combating corruption 

 The UAE Accountability Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, 
.aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of combating corruption

consolidating the principles of transparency and integrity, and enhancing joint action to confront corruption, within the framework of strengthening joint cooperation relations between the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia.

This came during the reception of His Excellency Hamid Obaid Abu Shabs, Chairman of the UAE Accountability Authority, by His Excellency Tan Sri Azam bin Paki, Chairman of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, and his accompanying delegation, at the Authority’s headquarters in AbuDhabi.

The memorandum aims to consolidate joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of combating corruption, exchanging experiences and knowledge, and benefiting from international best practices in supporting anti-corruption efforts and good governance.

This step reflects the keenness of both sides to strengthen international partnerships in a way that contributes to protecting public resources, consolidating the principles of accountability and transparency, and enhancing anti-corruption efforts in both countries
