NASA successfully tests launch of the Artemis 2 mission towards lunar orbit


NASA announced that it conducted a successful test launch of its SLS rocket, which will carry astronauts to lunar orbit for the first time in more than 50 years.

NASA reported that the operation went as planned, ending at the countdown 29 seconds before launch, and NASA is expected to set a final launch date for the mission.

The rocket launch test is being conducted under realistic conditions with full fuel tanks and technical checks, at Cape Canaveral, Florida, where engineers are practicing the maneuvers necessary to carry out an actual launchThe Artemis 2 mission will be the first crewed mission to 
fly in lunar orbit in more than 50 years, with three Americans and one Canadian participating.
