Ajman Tourism and Zayed National Museum explore aspects of ancient life and its significance through cultural dialogue

The Zayed National Museum continued to present the program “From Museum to Community: A Living Cultural Dialogue Across the UAE” in the Emirate of Ajman, at the Majlis of the Trustee of the Shurafa, in cooperation with the Department of Tourism, Culture and Media - Ajman, in confirmation of the department’s role as a strategic partner in activating the cultural movement and enhancing the Emirate’s presence within the national cultural scene.

The session, held as part of the program and presented by Ammar Al Banna, Assistant Curator at the Zayed National Museum, Maitha Saad Al Suwaidi, Director of Antiquities, Heritage and Museums at the Department of Tourism, Culture and Media – Ajman, and Ali Abdul Rahman Al Muqbali, Head of the Archaeological Research Unit at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, featured a knowledge presentation entitled “The Bronze Age: Trade, Adornment and Cultural Expression.” It discussed the red agate beads discovered in Ajman and highlighted the profound implications these finds reveal about trade networks, adornment patterns, and cultural expression in ancient Emirati society, reflecting the historical status of the Emirate of Ajman as an active hub in the movement of cultural exchange in the region.

This session is part of the "Zayed National Museum Forum: From Museum to Community" program, which contributes to transferring archaeological knowledge to the community and enhancing interaction with it. The participation of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Media - Ajman highlights its ongoing commitment to preserving cultural heritage and presenting it in contemporary ways that enhance the community's connection to it and consolidate national identity.

The program had held its sessions at the Shindagha Museum and Alserkal Avenue in Dubai, and continues its journey with upcoming sessions at the Al Ain Museum on May 18 and the House of Wisdom in Sharjah on May 21
