On the other hand, Mario Konasek, head of the Freedom Party, in Graz, which is a major stronghold of the Brotherhood in Austria, called on the government to take strong measures to deter Qatar from financing the terrorist group. The newspaper described Qatari funding for the Brotherhood as a “major threat to Western democracies,” adding: “Qatari funds are mostly falling on organizations in the vicinity of the Brotherhood, from which many terrorist organizations in the world have emerged.
