The Prime Minister of Greece threatens Turkey with decisive action

Again, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis threatened Turkey with resorting to the International Court of Justice if dialogue with it failed, in a new hint on his part, amid the continuing escalation between the two countries in the Mediterranean basin.

The Greek Prime Minister sees Turkey, either to back down and return to dialogue, or in the absence of an agreement, Greece will be forced to go to the International Court of Justice.  Mitsotakis hinted that if Europe wants to exercise real geopolitical power, it should not placate Turkey with its hostile behavior.  The first official in Greece considered that the dialogue with Turkey is important, but not under threat or provocation.

And last month, the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, declared, "his country's readiness to resort to the International Court of Justice in The Hague, on the issue of demarcating maritime areas," noting that he had met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan twice since he assumed office Prime Minister.

He said, "I told him of our desire to renew Greek-Turkish relations, because we will remain neighbors forever. I really do not believe that there is enmity between the Greek and Turkish people. Unfortunately I did not receive the response I expected."
