Germany calls on Turkey to stop wobbly game about the Mediterranean conflict

German Foreign Minister "Heiko Maas" criticized Turkey for sending the "Aruj Reis" ship again to explore for oil in the disputed waters with Greece.  According to the Greek newspaper "Kathimerini", "MAS" described the unilateral move on Tuesday as a blow to efforts to start negotiations on exploration in the Mediterranean.

This was after his meeting with his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides in Nicosia today, Tuesday, calling on Turkey to stop the game of fluctuating its position between escalation and easing.  The German foreign minister confirmed that he had intentionally left Ankara outside the agenda of his trip, which includes travel to Cyprus and Greece, on Tuesday, in order to consult on the ongoing dispute over exploration in the Mediterranean.

On Tuesday, Germany issued a stern warning to Turkey of the consequences of its provocations in the eastern Mediterranean, after sending the Aruj Reis ship again.  In response to Turkey's move, the Greek government issued, earlier in the day, a new navigation notice to warn Turkish ships from entering its territorial waters, after Turkey sent the exploration ship to the eastern Mediterranean
