An Australian club calls on Qatar Airways to explain the forced examination of foreign female travelers


 Australian Football Club Sydney Swans has expressed its grave concern over recent criticism of Qatar Airways - the official sponsor of the Australian team - due to the forced examination of 18 foreign travelers through Qatar Airways at Hamad International Airport in Doha.  The Australian club called on Qatar Airways to find clear explanations for what happened, especially after the harsh criticism the company received, according to the British newspaper "The Guardian".

The club, which has struck a sponsorship deal with Qatar Airways since 2016, said they were "extremely concerned" by reports last week that female travelers, including a number of Australian women, were subjected to forced screenings in early October, after finding a child. Newborn at the airport.  "We were extremely concerned about media reports last week regarding the treatment of female passengers at Hamad International Airport in Doha," a Sydney Swans spokesperson told The Guardian Australia. "The club has sought more information on the situation and dialogue continues between the two sides." 

A group of official supporters of "Sydney Swans" club said that it is dealing with the airport incident "very seriously", and also confirmed that it is seeking answers from the Qatar Airways in this regard.
