His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, chaired the Executive Council meeting, which was held at Al Bateen Palace in Abu Dhabi. In its meeting, the Council discussed a number of current and future government plans and projects that are in line with the vision and directives of His Highness the Sheikh. Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of government work to improve the various services provided to the emirate’s community, and to achieve excellence in the government work system in various priority fields and sectors.
During the meeting, His Highness approved the government empowerment plan presented by the Government Support Department, with the aim of developing the sector by enhancing the efficiency of human resources, developing training and job qualification programs, supporting digital infrastructure capabilities, and digital transformation initiatives for government services through digital asset management and government data exchange, in coordination with Concerned authorities in Abu Dhabi. The government empowerment plan aims to develop the customer experience system with government services, and build a unified, specialized central system that improves the quality and effectiveness of services provided by government agencies in the emirate, to contribute to the sustainability of the development and continuous improvement of services.
His Highness reviewed the developments in the emirate’s capital projects, and the main performance reports of various agencies and departments affiliated with the government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi during the second quarter of this year, which highlighted the results of the progress of government projects and service initiatives provided to citizens and residents in all regions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. His Highness directed the importance of focusing on the necessity of Joint efforts of all to unify the government services system, and continue to adopt an innovation-based approach in providing government services to members of society, which meets the aspirations of the wise leadership in creating a system that keeps pace with the process of development and progress witnessed by the emirate by establishing a culture of excellence in various government sectors.
