Dubai Tops the List of Safest Travel Destinations for Women in 2025

Dubai has ranked first on the list of the world's best cities for solo female travelers in 2025, according to a report by travel insurance company Insure My Trip, achieving a total score of 7.71. As more women plan to explore the world independently and without restrictions, they seek safe destinations to travel to and create unforgettable memories in exciting new places.

The study, which included 62 cities, was based on safety and tourism metrics for women wishing to travel alone. Dubai scored 86.23 out of 100 for overall feeling of safety and 83.11 for feeling safe walking alone at night — the highest ratings in these categories among all cities surveyed. Additionally, the emirate scored highly with 0.713/1 on the Gender Quality Index and 0.866/1 on the Women's Peace and Security Index.

In a related aspect, Dubai also achieved the highest level of social media engagement, with 35.7 million hashtags on TikTok. Hotel and activity ratings were high as well, with an average of 4.26 out of 5, and the average daily cost was around $289. All of these factors strengthened Dubai's position as the “most talked-about and safest city for solo female travelers.”

The biggest change in Insure My Trip's ranking was Singapore, which advanced 52 spots to reach 9th place, while Munich dropped three spots to fourth. Meanwhile, Heraklion, Greece, climbed five spots to 10th place. Krakow, Poland, came in second behind Dubai with a total score of 7.18, ahead of Madrid, which ranked third with 7.14.
