Scarlett Johansson Enters the World of Directing at Cannes Festival

Global star Scarlett Johansson is embarking on a new directorial experience, with her debut film set to premiere as part of the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, which will take place between May 13 and 24. Johansson's film will be featured in the "Un Certain Regard" section, marking her first official directing endeavor after a long and distinguished career as a prominent actress in Hollywood.

The film will compete alongside a number of international works, including the Egyptian film "Aisha Can't Fly Anymore" by director Morad Mostafa. Meanwhile, Johansson continues her artistic pursuits, with reports revealing her involvement in a new series titled Just Cause, produced by Amazon Prime. The series is based on the 1992 novel by John Katzenbach, in which she will star and serve as executive producer.

In statements to Deadline during the premiere of her film Fly Me To The Moon, Johansson confirmed that the project has completed its writing phase and is ready for production, following a pause due to the recent strike in Hollywood.
