 UAE Joint Operations Team Continues Humanitarian Mission in Afghanistan

The Joint Operations Command team of the UAE continues its vital humanitarian mission to support those affected by the devastating earthquake that struck eastern Afghanistan.

As part of the UAE’s humanitarian air bridge, operated through the Emirates International Aid Agency and the Emirates Red Crescent, 31 trucks loaded with essential food supplies, medical equipment, and shelter tents were delivered and distributed to families in Kunar Province. The initiative aims to ease the suffering of vulnerable communities impacted by the disaster.

These ongoing efforts highlight the UAE’s unwavering commitment to rapid emergency response in the wake of natural disasters and crises, reflecting the country’s dedication to extending a helping hand to those in need across the globe.

The team began its humanitarian operations immediately upon arrival last Wednesday, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to support the Afghan people during this critical time.
