The President of the State receives the Italian Minister of .Defense

his Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received His Excellency Guido Crosetto, Minister of Defense of the Italian Republic.

During the meeting, the Minister of Defense conveyed to His Highness the greetings of Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, and her wishes for continued security and prosperity for the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting addressed cooperation and joint work between the two countries and ways to enhance them in the fields of defense and security affairs.

They also discussed developments in the Middle East and their repercussions on regional and global security and stability, as well as their impact on international maritime security, in addition to the Iranian terrorist attacks against the UAE and countries in the region, which targeted civilians, facilities and civilian infrastructure. His Excellency reiterated Italy’s condemnation of the attacks, which constitute a violation of state sovereignty and international law and undermine regional stability and security.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defense Affairs, and a number of officials.
