The President of the UAE receives the Prime Minister of Albania

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Excellency Edi Rama, Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, discussed ways to develop bilateral relations in various fields, especially economic, trade, renewable energy, technology, and other areas that constitute a developmental priority for the two countries, in a way that serves their mutual interests and brings goodness and prosperity to their people.

Both sides affirmed their commitment to further strengthening the UAE-Albanian relations, which are witnessing continuous development, and to expanding their development partnerships to drive sustainable economic growth that meets the aspirations of the people of both countries for progress and prosperity.

This came during His Highness’s reception of the Prime Minister of Albania, who is on a working visit to the country.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed developments in the Middle East region and their repercussions on regional security and stability, as well as their impact on international maritime security and the global economy.

The two sides also discussed the Iranian terrorist attacks that targeted civilians, facilities and civilian infrastructure in the UAE and countries of the region. His Excellency reiterated Albania’s condemnation of the attacks as a violation of international laws and norms and an undermining of regional security and stability.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development Affairs, families of martyrs, a number of ministers and officials, and the delegation accompanying the Albanian Prime Minister.
