Dubai Chambers discusses boosting intra-regional trade with the Zhejiang branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade




Dubai Chambers held a meeting yesterday with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Zhejiang, to discuss opportunities for developing economic cooperation and strengthening trade and investment relations between Dubai and China. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, and Chen Jinzhong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Zhejiang.


The two sides discussed ways to enhance the level of economic partnership, focusing on vital sectors that provide promising opportunities for trade and investment cooperation between the two sides, most notably the digital economy.


His Excellency Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah said, “We are committed to strengthening cooperation with various Chinese provinces, including Zhejiang Province, by supporting communication channels between business communities and facilitating the flow of investments, which will contribute to creating new opportunities for strategic partnerships, support the growth of bilateral trade, and enhance the competitiveness of companies in both markets.”


The meeting is part of a series of meetings and discussions organized by the chambers with various Chinese entities to enhance bilateral trade and investment cooperation. Zhejiang province is the fourth largest economy in China.
