The President of the State and the Turkish President discuss bilateral cooperation relations by telephone

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, discussed yesterday, during a telephone call, various areas of cooperation, especially economic and developmental ones, and ways to enhance them in a manner that supports development priorities and common interests, within the framework of the comprehensive economic partnership agreement that unites the two countries.

Both sides affirmed their mutual commitment to continuing joint efforts to strengthen UAE-Turkey relations and build upon the progress achieved in their development paths, especially their development partnerships, in order to bring growth and prosperity to their peoples.

The call also touched on the UAE’s participation in the SAHA Expo 2026 International Defence, Aerospace and Space Exhibition held in Istanbul, and the importance of the exhibition in promoting international cooperation in this field.

The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Turkey continue their strategic trade and investment partnership by exploring further opportunities for cooperation between the two communities and friends, under the umbrella of a comprehensive and diverse economic partnership that has been in place since September 1, 2023, and has already contributed, since its implementation, to innovative interactive incentives for cooperation.

The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement boosted trade and investment growth between the two countries to record levels, enabling both parties to exceed initial expectations for non-oil bilateral trade.
