The President of the State receives the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Australia

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received yesterday the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Australia, Richard Marleys.

During the meeting, His Highness and the Australian Minister of Defense discussed areas of cooperation and joint work between the two countries and opportunities for their development, especially in defense affairs.

The meeting also touched on a number of issues of common interest, most notably developments in the Middle East region and their serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability, in addition to global maritime security.

A number of ministers and officials attended the meeting.
