The UAE is also one of the largest donors of aid to Turkey, with a total of $2.5 billion in aid being allocated since the start of the Syria crisis

Furthermore, the UAE has been at the forefront of providing aid to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The country has donated over 89 tons of medical supplies to over 90 countries, including critical medical equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and laboratory diagnostic kits. The UAE also launched the Hope Consortium, a global initiative to deliver COVID-19 vaccines to countries in need. The UAE’s commitment to providing aid and humanitarian assistance extends beyond its borders. The country has provided aid to countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe, as well as to countries affected by natural disasters such as Hurricane Harvey in the United States and the earthquake in Nepal. The country has established the UAE Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) to improve education and provide opportunities for students in developing countries.
