His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, during a phone call he received from Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the friendly Republic of India, discussed the developments taking place in the Middle East region, most notably the aggravation of the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and its repercussions on the region following the continued military escalation.
His Highness and the Prime Minister of India discussed the need for urgent diplomatic action to push towards a clear path to achieve comprehensive, just and sustainable peace, which ensures the preservation of the stability, security and peace of the region and avoids a widening cycle of violence and more crises.
In this context, His Highness the Head of State stressed the priority of intensifying efforts to work to stop the deterioration of the humanitarian conditions of civilians in Gaza and protect their lives, in addition to ensuring the rapid delivery of relief aid to them and enabling humanitarian organizations to play their role in this regard. During the call, His Highness and Narendra Modi touched on various aspects of cooperation and joint work that serve mutual interests and contribute to advancing comprehensive and sustainable development in the two countries.
