Taekwondo Talent Championship

255 players participate in the opening of the Taekwondo Talent Championship in Fujairah

255 players participated in the opening of the first edition of the Taekwondo Talents Championship for the male category yesterday, at the Zayed Sports Complex Hall in Fujairah.

Abdullah Al-Samahi, Secretary General of the UAE Taekwondo Federation, said that the championships held as part of the UAE Committee for the Care of Sports Talents and Support of National Sports initiative, under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports, achieved remarkable success during the past period in cooperation with a number of sports federations, with the aim of discovering and developing promising sports talents, and expanding the base of practitioners.

The Federation affirmed its commitment to supporting the Committee’s initiatives, providing all the requirements that align with the Federation’s future directions, and keeping pace with national aspirations within the Ministry of Sports’ National Strategy 2031.

The Secretary-General noted that the total number of participants in this edition is 445 male and female players representing 19 clubs at the national level.
