Abdullah bin Zayed meets with the German Foreign Minister in Berlin
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with His Excellency Johann Wadephul, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, during a working visit to Berlin.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in the region and the repercussions of the treacherous Iranian terrorist attacks that targeted civilian sites and facilities in the UAE using missiles and drones.
The talks addressed the serious consequences of these terrorist attacks on the security of international maritime navigation, energy supply chains and the stability of the global economy, and discussed the importance of intensifying international efforts to protect sea lanes and ensure the smooth flow of global trade.
The meeting also discussed the treacherous terrorist attack that resulted in a fire in an electrical generator outside the inner perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra region, as a result of a drone strike, without any injuries or any impact on radiation safety levels.
His Excellency Johan Wadephul affirmed his country’s solidarity with the UAE and its condemnation of these treacherous terrorist attacks, while His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation for the German positions supporting the UAE, stressing the safety of all residents and visitors in the country.
His Highness also emphasized the depth of the strategic relations between the UAE and the Federal Republic of Germany, noting the shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in a way that serves the mutual interests of both countries and brings more good and prosperity to their people.
The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State, His Excellency Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State, and His Excellency Ahmed Wahib Al Attar, the UAE Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.
