His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, inspected the progress of work in the water tank project implemented by the Authority in the Hatta region to see the progress of construction work, as the completion rate reached 89.42% of the total project. The storage capacity of the project is 30 million gallons, and the project, which costs about 86 million dirhams, is expected to be completed during the last quarter of this year.
The project includes the construction of two reservoirs with a storage capacity of 30 million gallons of desalinated water, the construction of supporting buildings, and the laying of inlet and outlet pipes. The foundation work for all buildings and reservoirs has been completed by 100%, while the completion rate for the above-ground works has reached 92%, and nearly 99% of the pipes have been extended.
