His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, said, "Our aspirations in the field of space are great and continuous," pointing to the historic achievement of the Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, during his stay on the International Space Station, which lasted for six months, during which he participated. In more than 200 scientific experiments, which ended yesterday with his safe return to Earth
His Highness congratulated the young Emirati astronaut, via the “X” platform, on his safety, and said, noting his historic achievement: “My son Sultan Al Neyadi, thank God for your safe return to Earth after the longest Arab mission in space. With the national work teams, you made a historic Emirati achievement, and you contributed to the service of science and humanity.”
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised the tireless efforts behind this historic achievement, which was achieved with the hands and minds of the people of the Emirates. His Highness said: “We launched the Emirates Astronaut Program in 2017... and in less than 6 years we celebrated the success of two flights bearing the name of the Emirates to Space... We have great confidence in our youth so that our country will always be at the forefront, inspiring generations and raising the bar of ambitions. With our distinguished national competencies, we are able to continue to amaze the world with inspiring qualitative achievements in all fields.”
