The head of state meets with the heads of delegations participating .
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, met today with the heads of delegations participating in the trilateral talks that include the United States of America, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Ukraine, which are being hosted by the United Arab Emirates, as part of efforts aimed at strengthening dialogue and finding political solutions to the Ukrainian crisis.
The talks, which began today in Abu Dhabi, are being attended by Steve Wittkopf and Jared Kushner, envoys of the US presidency, Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the Russian General Staff, Kirill Budanov, director of the Ukrainian president’s office, Rustam Umerov, secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, and a number of other senior officials from Russia and Ukraine.
His Highness the President of the State expressed his wishes for the negotiators to succeed in their talks and to come out with positive results that contribute to ending the crisis that has been going on for years, stressing the UAE’s firm approach based on encouraging constructive dialogue and supporting everything that would enhance diplomatic solutions to various crises and conflicts.
His Highness said that the UAE supports all efforts and initiatives aimed at finding a settlement to the Ukrainian crisis in the interest of all parties and in a way that strengthens the causes of peace and stability in the world.
